Density population in guatemala raster layer12/26/2023 ![]() ![]() If no points or line sections fall within the neighborhood of a particular cell, the density of that cell will be zero. Population: Population density (old) CIESIN, 2000. Only the points or portions of a line that fall within the neighborhood are considered when calculating density. During the zonal operation, feature data is first converted to a raster. If no value is provided, the tool will calculate one based on the number of points and their coordinates. This dataset consists of three raster datasets representing population density for the years 1990, 2000, and 2010. The input zone layer defines the shape, values, and locations of the zones, which can be either raster or feature. Smaller values produce a raster that changes more abruptly. The population density within residential areas can be found by dividing the number of persons by the total area of residential units within the DA, to give a density (in persons/sq m). Larger values of the radius parameter produce a density raster that is smoother. ![]() While you can use local feature data and layers as input to this portal tool, best practice is to use layers from your portal as input. The input feature layer can be a layer from the portal or a URI or URL to a feature service. The portal tool accepts layers from your portal as input and creates output in your portal. When the tool is run, ArcGIS Pro serves as a client and the processing occurs in the servers federated with ArcGIS Enterprise. In addition to total population density, we release estimates for women, men, youth, children, women of reproductive age, and the elderly at a 30 meter resolution. The data files were produced as global rasters at 30 arc-second (1 km at the equator) resolution. This raster analysis portal tool is available when you are signed in to an ArcGIS Enterprise portal that has ArcGIS Image Server configured for Raster Analysis. The population density rasters were created by dividing the population count raster for a given target year by the land area raster. ![]()
